Historia social del ferrocarril en Irapuato (1933-1997). Una propuesta extraescolar para utilizar el patrimonio industrial en la enseñanza histórica

Abstract

The history of the railway in Irapuato, and above all the material traces of this history with the primary resources with which in the present work we try to structure a proposal to teach and disseminate history. Our main focus is on the industrial heritage and more specifically on the railway, as well as the memory of all those who played different roles on the stage of the railway station in Irapuato, and whose voices we were able to hear as sound echoes of the historical circumstances that marked the rise and fall of the railway as a means of mass transport from the second half of the 19th century to the end of the 20th century.

La historia del ferrocarril en Irapuato y sobre todo los vestigios materiales de esta historia son los recursos primordiales con los cuales en el presente trabajo intentamos estructurar una propuesta para enseñar y difundir la historia. Nuestros ejes principales son el Patrimonio industrial y más concretamente el ferroviario, así como la memoria de todos aquellos que tuvieron roles distintos en el escenario de la estación del ferrocarril en Irapuato, y cuyas voces pudimos escuchar como ecos sonoros de las coyunturas históricas que marcaron el auge y decadencia del ferrocarril como medio de transporte masivo desde la segunda mitad del siglo XIX hasta fines del siglo XX.
