Proceso de transformación de Pátzcuaro y sus pueblos indígenas, de cabildo antiguo a ayuntamiento constitucional

Abstract

At the arrival of the Spaniards to Michoacán lands, the political-social-administrative environment of the population established there change, forcing them to adapt to new organizational regimes, as well as to new forms of life; Changing from the prehispanic model, to the structures devised by foreigners for the reorganization and imposition of the colonial regime. Indigenous population suffered the change of regime, from the old tradition Michuaque, to the “cabildos antiguos", which represented the indigenous population only in some situations. Throughout the centuries, have undergone transformations in the systems of government that lead us to this days, prevailing the constitutional regime.

Con la llegada de los peninsulares a tierras michoacanas, cambió el entorno político-social- administrativo, de los pueblos ahí asentados, orillando a la población a adaptarse a nuevos regímenes de organización, así como, a nuevas formas de vida; cambiando del modelo prehispánico, a las estructuras ideadas por los extranjeros para la reorganización e imposición del régimen colonial. Los pueblos indígenas padecieron el cambio de régimen, del antiguo señorío Michuaque, a los “cabildos antiguos”, que medianamente representaban a la población indígena, soportando a través de los siglos transformaciones en los sistemas de gobierno que nos llevan hasta nuestros días, donde impera el régimen constitucional.
