Música y ethos en la antigua filosofía griega, aproximación a los conceptos de armonía y ritmo en Pitágoras, Platón y Aristóteles

Abstract

In this paper concepts and problems related to rhythm and harmony in ancient Greek philosophy will be analyzed, and to carry out this task analyze the positions of three great thinkers: Pythagoras, Plato and Aristotle. The objective of this research is to clarify and understand why the rhythm and harmony are determining factors in shaping not only the ethos, but also of culture. And for this, we will penetrate into the field of the Greek ancient music in order to compare analogical this one with this another construct called culture.

En el presente trabajo se analizarán conceptos y problemas referentes al ritmo y a la armonía en la antigua filosofía griega, y para llevar a cabo dicha tarea analizaremos las posturas de tres grandes pensadores: Pitágoras, Platón y Aristóteles. El objetivo de esta investigación es la de clarificar y comprender por qué el ritmo y la armonía son factores determinantes en la conformación no sólo del ethos, sino también de la cultura. Y para esto, incursionaremos en el campo de la música griega antigua con el fin de comparar analógicamente a ésta con ese otro constructo llamado cultura.
