Cálculo de índices del operador de Dirac sobre la 2-esfera

Abstract

On the following thesis, the Fredholm’s index associated to the Dirac operator over the 2- sphere is going to be computed. By making use of Atiyah’s and Singer’s index theory, and by using projections, such computation for Dirac’s index is going to be obtained by using that such operator is linear-elliptic over the 2-sphere, which is a compact and spin manifold of even dimension. The used projections generate the group K0 and will be represented by complex line vector bundles over the 2-sphere with Serre-Swan’s theorem, which are classified by an integer called winding number.

En la presente tesis se calcula el índice de Fredholm del operador de Dirac con dominio en la 2-esfera. Haciendo uso de la teoría de índice de Atiyah y Singer, y por medio de proyecciones, se calculará el índice del operador de Dirac haciendo uso de que dicho operador es lineal elíptico sobre la 2-esfera, la cual es una variedad compacta y espín de dimensión par. Las proyecciones mencionadas nos generan el grupo K0 y serán representadas por haces de línea complejos sobre la 2-esfera por medio del teorema de Serre-Swan, los cuales son clasificados por un entero llamado número de giro.
