Los productores de muebles de madera y el desarrollo sustentable desde la racionalidad reproductiva, económica y ambiental: el caso de la comunidad indígena de Cuanajo, Michoacán

Abstract

The present thesis constitutes an analysis of the furniture economy in the indigenous community of Cuanajo, focused on the terms in which producers make decisions. In order to overcome restrictions in the production and commercialization of furniture, solve the progressive needs of the family and mitigate the deforestation of the forest, with the expectation of promoting the sustainable development of the community. Based on three rationales: the instrumental rationality that is resolved from the workshop, pending the increase of its profits and income; the reproductive rationality that unfolds in the family, for the satisfaction of needs and the development of capacities of its members; and an environmental rationality that pays attention to the forest and to the dilemma of its preservation.

La presente tesis constituye un análisis de la economía mueblera en la comunidad indígena de Cuanajo, centrada en los términos en que los productores toman decisiones. A fin de superar las restricciones en la producción y comercialización de muebles, resolver las necesidades progresivas de la familia y atenuar la deforestación del bosque, con expectativas de propiciar el desarrollo sustentable de la comunidad. En función de tres racionalidades: la racionalidad instrumental que se resuelve desde el taller, en espera del incremento de sus beneficios e ingresos; la racionalidad reproductiva que se despliega en la familia, para la satisfacción de necesidades y el desarrollo de capacidades de sus integrantes; y una racionalidad ambiental que pone la atención en el bosque y ante el dilema de su preservación.
