La interpretación del mito mesoamericano en la obra de Miguel León-Portilla, 1956 – 2012

Abstract

Based on elements of historiographical analysis this thesis examines the interpretation of the myth concerning the origin of the gods, the cosmos and man that Miguel León-Portilla elaborated in his work, between 1956 and 2006; an interpretation that underwent changes and added new aspects for reflection. My objective is to elucidate the historiographical style utilized in the different interpretative currents found in these works based on the assumption of the historiographic turn sketched by Alfonso Mendiola and the Hayden White's tropological theory.

Esta tesis, a través de algunos elementos del análisis historiográfico, aborda la interpretación del mito relativa al origen de los dioses, el cosmos y el hombre realizada por Miguel León-Portilla, en su obra publicada entre 1956 y 2012, donde esta interpretación experimentó cambios o añadió elementos para su reflexión. Se intenta dilucidar el estilo historiográfico utilizado en las diferentes vertientes interpretativas antes enunciadas, a través de la asunción del giro historiográfico pergeñado por Alfonso Mendiola y la teoría tropológica de Hayden White.
