Abstract

The way which men and women relate each other reflects the must be of every genre. Everyone should behave in certain ways which has been socially idealized. Expectations that each genre had respect such ideal normative were present in the familiar conformation. It is not surprising therefore, that the marital split has become of the breaking of the ideal ways of being, when the stereotype of man and woman appeared, marital fracture happened. The subject matter of this reseach is the divorce in Morelia in the 50´s of XX century. It analyzes, first stereotypes present in the imagery of the Morelia´s society and its impact on family patterns. Similary it is observed the social impact that the legal remedy of divorce brought to the mid twentieth century society. The causes of marital breakdown are shown through a statistical interpretation the database consist of 698 divorces, allows observing the way which a part of Morelia´s society understood the marriage and the family, and post-divorce option.

La forma en cómo se relacionan hombres y mujeres refleja el deber ser de cada género. Cada uno debe comportarse de cierta manera, la cual ha sido idealizada socialmente. Las expectativas que cada género tuvo respecto a dicho ideal normativo, estuvieron presentes en las conformaciones familiares, por lo tanto no es extraño que la fractura conyugal haya devenido justo del rompimiento de las formas ideales de ser, cuando aparece tal resquebrajamiento respecto al estereotipo de hombre y de mujer, ocurrió la fractura conyugal. El trabajo de investigación tiene por objeto de estudio el divorcio en Morelia durante la década de los cincuenta del siglo XX. En él se analizan, por un lado los estereotipos de género que estuvieron presentes en el imaginario de dicha sociedad y cómo fue el impacto de éstos en los esquemas familiares. Del mismo modo se observan las repercusiones sociales que el recurso jurídico del divorcio trajo a la sociedad moreliana de medio siglo XX. Se muestran las causas por las que ocurrió el colapso del matrimonio por medio de una interpretación a través de la estadística, la base de datos conformada por 698 demandas de divorcio, permite observar una parte de la sociedad y la forma en la que entendieron el matrimonio y la familia, así mismo se observan las opciones que posterior al divorcio existieron.
