Análisis multitemporal de los lagos de Michoacán mediante teledetección

Abstract

The lakes are of vital value, since they help regulate the weather, they´re also the habitat of flora and fauna, the most important lakes in “Michoacán” in biological and economical terms are “Cuitzeo”, “Pátzcuaro” and “Zirahuén”. The next study aims to identify the dynamic of the water bodies, looking at the changes made in a set period of time by means of tele-detection and geographic information systems tools, to understand the relation with the fluctuations in temperature, evapotranspiration, aridity and forest cover in the basin, from the images collected from the period 1993-2019, the tendency for “Cuitzeo” and “Pátzcuaro” it´s unfavorable, however, “Zirahuén” presents an stable increase of surface with an increase in temperature inferior tan the other two lakes, “Cuitzeo” has a greater evapotranspiration, while “Pátzcuaro” presents the highest aridity, the forest cover it´s on a rise in the three basins by human activity, analyzing the tendencies and data obtained, it´s proven that the lakes meet the hydrologic cycles in a natural manner, bur the human activity favors the acceleration and degradation more intensely in the lacustrine systems.

Los lagos son de vital importancia, pues ayudan a regular el clima, además son el hábitat de flora y fauna, los lagos más importantes para Michoacán, en términos biológicos y económicos, son los lagos de Cuitzeo, Pátzcuaro y Zirahuén. El siguiente estudio pretende identificar la dinámica de los cuerpos de agua, estudiar los cambios en un periodo de tiempo establecido mediante herramientas de teledetección y sistemas de información geográfica, para entender su relación con las fluctuaciones de temperatura, evapotranspiración, aridez y cobertura forestal dentro de la cuenca, a partir de las imágenes recopiladas del periodo de 1993-2019, la tendencia para Cuitzeo y Pátzcuaro es desfavorable, en cambio, Zirahuén presenta un crecimiento estable de superficie con un aumento de temperatura inferior al que presentan los otros dos lagos, Cuitzeo tiene una evapotranspiración mayor, mientras que Pátzcuaro presenta el mayor índice de aridez, la cobertura forestal se encuentra en aumento en las tres cuencas por actividad humana; analizando las tendencias y datos obtenidos se demuestra que los lagos cumplen con sus ciclos hidrológicos de manera natural, pero la actividad humana propicia la aceleración y degradación más intensa dentro de los sistemas lacustres.
