Valoración del grado de maduración ósea en relación con el estado nutricional

Abstract

The chronological age doesn't always allow to value the development and the patient's somatic maturation, for what is appealed to determine the biological age. This it is calculated starting from the bony, dental and morphological age or of the moment of sexual maturation. In general, the bony age is valued with an x-ray of the hand that is considered the biological clock. The malnutrition slows the growth and it affects the size of the parts, it alters the corporal proportions, the conditions and biochemical reactions for deficiency of amino acids that owe sinterizarse starting from nutritious proteins, the quality and texture of some fabrics, and it affects other physiologic processes as the speed of growth puberal.

La edad cronológica no siempre permite valorar el desarrollo y maduración somática del paciente, por lo que se recurre a determinar la edad biológica. Esta se calcula a partir de la edad ósea, dental y morfológica o del momento de maduración sexual. Por lo general, la edad ósea se valora con una radiografía de la mano, que se considera el reloj biológico. La desnutrición retarda el crecimiento y afecta el tamaño de las partes, altera las proporciones corporales, las condiciones y reacciones bioquímicas por deficiencia de aminoácidos que deben sinterizarse a partir de proteínas alimenticias, la calidad y textura de algunos tejidos, y afecta otros procesos fisiológicos como la velocidad de crecimiento puberal.
